Dental Implants

Orlando, FL Dental Implants

Dental implants have changed the lives of our patients who have experienced discomfort and embarrassment caused by missing teeth and ill-fitting dentures. They offer a permanent solution for missing teeth and are custom-designed to look and function like your natural teeth. Our experienced implant dentist, Dr. Alfredo Gapuz is a highly qualified implantologist who has had extensive training in reconstructive dentistry at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute. Dr. Gapuz is typically able to perform the entire implant procedure in his own office without the need to refer patients to another practice.

The Dental Implants Process

Dr. Gapuz begins the dental implant process by performing an oral evaluation of your teeth and gums so he can better assess your unique needs. Dental implants are durable titanium stems that are placed directly under the gum and attached to the jawbone. After the implant is placed, it will go through a fusion process with the bone, where it will ultimately function like a natural tooth root. This process, called osseointegration, usually lasts for a period of months. During this time, a temporary crown can be placed over the implant until the titanium stem has adequately fused to the jawbone.

Once the fusion process is complete, we manufacture a permanent, all-porcelain crown using our E4D system, which sends a digital template of your restoration to a milling machine. This customized replica of your natural tooth is manufactured in-office in a matter of minutes and then placed by Dr. Gapuz himself. Once the custom-designed permanent crown is attached, you will have a permanent replacement for your missing tooth that looks, feels, and acts like a natural tooth.

Mini Implants

“Mini-implants” offer an alternative to full dental implants and can be a very effective way to stabilize loose upper and lower dentures. IMTEC Lab will modify your existing dentures or create new ones to use with the dental implants. You will be able to comfortably use your dentures the same day. With implant technology, we can place four or five mini dentures, if only your lower dentures are giving you trouble. Mini-implants can help you achieve beautiful results and enhance the appearance and function of your teeth.
