TMJ Treatment

Oralando FL TMJ

TMJ disorder occurs when there is a problem affecting the temporomandibular joint connecting the jaw and the skull. The condition can be brought on by arthritis, imbalance, teeth clenching, a breakdown of cartilage, and even simple overuse of the joint. Also known as TMD, TMJ disorder can cause headaches, facial pain, and a number of other symptoms that may seem unrelated to the actual condition.

Dr. Alfredo Gapuz, has been extensively educated and trained in treating TMD, TMJ, migraine headaches, and other conditions related to misaligned bite at the most prestigious dental institutions in the world, including the LVI Global for Advanced Dental Studies. Through neuromuscular dentistry and treatment, he can determine the root causes of jaw and head pain and provide significant relief. Our treatments are designed to restore the jaw joints and muscles of the jaw and neck to healthy, optimum function.

TMJ Treatment Process

With the J5 Myomonitor unit, we can help the muscles in your jaw and neck relax, allowing Dr. Gapuz to examine your bite in its natural position. Our K7 Joint Tracking Analysis system evaluates the movement and function of your jaw and bite, helping Dr. Gapuz diagnose any malocclusion.

Our high-tech equipment produces digital records and documentation that Dr. Gapuz then sends to a lab to manufacture any restorative or orthotic appliances that can be helpful for alleviating symptoms. Dr. Gapuz’s valuable training and advanced technology allows him to offer comprehensive dental care that balances your chewing system.
