A dental implant involves placing a small titanium post in the gap left by a missing tooth which bonds with the bone and provides the foundation for a porcelain crown. This procedure can also be used to anchor complete or partial dentures into a more stable position by using mini-implants.

Implants for Missing Teeth

Dr. Gapuz is a fully-qualified implantologist who can do the entire implant procedure in his own office. Using digital x-rays and the results of our comprehensive exam, Dr. Gapuz will be able to choose which option will be the best choice to produce life-like restorations and restore functionality. Back teeth, which sustain the most pressure, often need porcelain/metal restorations for strength and durability, while front teeth need all-porcelain crowns for beauty and life-like qualities. The latest technology and expert training make it possible to go from diagnosis to placement of your crown in only a few visits!

1. The first step is the placement of the titanium stem. It takes the skill of an experienced implantologist like Dr. Gapuz to place this correctly for comfort, functionality and aesthetics.
2. The all-porcelain crown is manufactured using our CEREC system which sends a digital template of your restoration to a milling machine. A precise replica of your natural tooth is manufactured in-office in a matter of minutes and then placed by Dr. Gapuz.

Implants for Dentures

For our patients wearing complete upper and lower dentures, we can stabilize these by using "mini-implants" made by Intech Lab. The lab can modify your existing dentures or new ones can be created to use with the implants. You will be able to use your dentures the same day to comfortably eat and chew. Many of our patients particularly complain about the loose fit of their lower dentures. We can use implant technology to put in 4 or 5 mini dentures which will give you comfort and stability. This procedure can be done in one visit so you can enjoy immediate results.

Implants can also be used to anchor a bridge in place. The abutment teeth, those on either side of the gap restored by the bridge, are crowned and the bridge is attached to these restorations. This will place the bridge permanently and make it very stable and more comfortable for eating, talking and smiling.
