Cutting-Edge Technology for a Precise Diagnosis

By using the J5 Myomonitor unit we can help the muscles in the jaw and neck to relax, allowing us to see the bite in its natural position. It is a transcutaneous electronic neuro-stimulator that delivers controlled, periodic, bilateral electrical stimulation to help provide muscle relaxation, increased blood circulation and increased range of motion. This stimulation will relax the muscles for 40-60 minutes while Dr. Gapuz does an examination. Our newest acquisition is a K7 Joint Tracking Analysis system. This evaluates the movement and function of the jaw and bite, helping Dr. Gapuz to diagnose any malocclusion.

This high-tech equipment helps Dr. Gapuz to diagnose more than what can be seen with just the naked eye; the underlying muscles and the relationship of the jaw and its joints. These systems produce digital records and documentation of the patient's bite that Dr. Gapuz can send to a lab, along with impressions if it is necessary, to manufacture any restorative or orthotic appliances.
